Stopham Bridge

Medieval Stopham Bridge and the River Arun - November 2006. Now a footbridge, A283 road traffic uses a newer (1980's) adjacent bridge.
Built around 1309 and rebuilt in 1403. In 1822 the central arch was raised to allow the passage of barges allied to traffic heading for the Wey and Arun Canal.
